Michael Moskowitz, HMS professor of neurology at Mass General, was one of four researchers to be awarded the 2021 Brain Prize from the Lundbeck Foundation for their pathbreaking contributions that led to novel migraine therapies. Stuart Orkin, the David G. Nathan Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics at HMS and Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, was named to receive the 2021 Gruber Genetics Prize, which will be presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics in October. Three HMS PhD students have received the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center 2021 Harold M. Weintraub Graduate Student Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement in graduate studies in the biological sciences.
