Haynes, PhD, professor of molecular, cell & cancer biology, has received a Method to Extend Research in Time (MERIT) award from the National Institute on Aging for his research on repair and regeneration of mitochondria dysfunction, a mechanism associated with age-related diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
