NCI SBIR Workshop for Massachusetts Biotech Innovators: Learn About NCI’s Translational Funding Opportunities!

June 29, 2022 - 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Are you a member of the Massachusetts biotech community working on an innovative cancer technology? The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has funding mechanisms specifically for innovators like you! Join us for an information session hosted on NCI’s translational funding resources and have the opportunity to connect 1:1 with a NCI Program Director.

From 1 – 3PM at the MassBioHub: Selected attendees will have the opportunity to meet 1:1 in person with NCI SBIR Program Directors to discuss their cancer technology project and funding eligibility. You do not need to have an established small business to participate.

To be considered for a meeting with a member of the NCI team, please reach out to MassBio Partnering with a one-page technology summary or specific aims page on your technology by June 22.

From 3 – 5PM at the MassBioHub & via Livestream: NCI SBIR Director Michael Weingarten and Program Director Jonathan Franca-Koh will provide a detailed overview on funding opportunities and other commercialization resources for biotech entrepreneurs. This presentation is appropriate for both established small businesses and researchers interested in translating technologies to patients and/or marketplace. The presentation will cover topics including:

  • New and current funding opportunities
  • Application tips and suggestions
  • Commercialization resources for applicants and awardees
