MIT Alumni Virtual Research Slam
December 2, 2020 - 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Register to view and participate in an MIT Alumni Research Slam on December 2, an online-only event celebrating alumni researchers hosted by the MIT Alumni Association.
MIT alumni in research roles at colleges and universities will compete for $2,000 in prizes* for best communicating their research to a panel of accomplished journalists and editors in a fast-paced virtual pitch competition.
Attendees can join the fun too, interacting with and learning from both aspiring and established researchers working on some of the world’s grand challenges. And live polling will contribute to an audience-choice award to complement the judges’ communications awards.

1st Place: $1,000 gift to MIT COVID-19 research made in competitor’s name
2nd Place: $500 gift to MIT COVID-19 research made in competitor’s name
3rd Place: $250 gift to MIT COVID-19 research made in competitor’s name
Interested in competing? Email the organizers a short summary of your current research and affiliation. Eligible competitors must be degree-holding MIT alumni (of any discipline) who are current graduate students, postdocs, researchers, or non-tenured faculty members at accredited colleges or universities around the world. All competitors will receive some of our favorite MIT swag and good publicity for their work!
