BTBA Annual Symposium
August 3, 2019 - 8:00 am - August 4, 2019 - 1:30 pm
Our annual symposium attracts more than 350 professionals and students every year from biology-related fields across the US. This two-day event is a great platform for attendees to network and engages in conversations about career development and trending topics in biotechnology. This year, we are honored to have Dr. Seng H. Cheng, Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at Pfizer and Dr. Jenny P-Y Ting, William Rand Kenan Professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as our keynote speakers. If you are considering an academic career path, we have a special opportunity for you to interact with academic professors in a small group setting during Academic Round Table. Please select “yes” and choose the professors that you would like to talk with during registration.
We also have Poster and Elevator Pitch sessions for you to share your research work and ideas. We will have judges to provide feedback and recognize a few outstanding posters and pitches. About Us
BTBA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization started in 2012 by a group of Taiwanese graduate Students, postdocs and young professionals in the greater Boston area. Our goals are to foster individual career development, to enhance scientific collaborations, to facilitate interactions and to strengthen networking among academic and industrial bioscience communities in Taiwan and US. We hold annual symposiums as well as seminars and workshops throughout the year. We hope to serve as a platform to foster a community for young scientists to share their research, exchange ideas and explore career opportunities.
