DESCRIPTION:Did you know that since the onset of COVID-19 at the end of March of this year the FDA has approved over 18 novel drugs\, six of which were for biotech companies based in Massachusetts or with facilities in the Bay State? How are companies taking on the extraordinary challenges and obstacles of launching (or choosing not to launch) new drugs in the time of COVID-19? How are they educating and communicating with the audiences and stakeholders that are impacted? \nThis session will explore the approaches that companies have taken when it comes to launching newly approved drugs and how they’ve balanced meeting patient need and demand\, educating HCPs about these new treatments\, and managing business/investor expectations. We’ll hear from companies who proceeded full speed ahead and those who held back and what lessons have been learned from both. \nSponsored by the MassBio MarComm and Commercial forum working group. \nMassBio makes every effort to accommodate our entire community at each of our events.
